I run a computer software company and recently we had to literraly “burn the midnight oil” to complete the project ON TIME and deliver it “bug free”. I had a wonderful team of dedicated programmers and they had been at the work for 12 hours already on this last one day before delivery time - only taking occasional breaks for meals and answering natures calls. After 16 hours they were really exhausted and we had just 5 more reports to code,test and verify and they were almost wanting to fall dead. I have always wondered what my “calling in life” would be. I have worked for many years in the Hotel Industry and always enjoyed making people feel great about themselves and giving them the attention they craved. But it wasn’t until recently that I discovered the true meaning of really helping someone..after giving birth to two wonderful boys, I felt my energy zapped and when I was sick I was always out of action for a good few days…not really suitable when you have children to look after. I have been on them for over 3 months now, and I can tell you, I am bouncing off the walls. Last weekend I went for a Girls Night Out and didn’t get back til very late, I still managed to get up and enjoy my sunday with my family after only 2 hours sleep. I have since decided to do this as a business, for me there is nothing better in the world than being able to help people feel good about themselves, and for me that is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
